Our Services
Prenatal Care
Prenatal care consists of the following:
*Free, initial consultation.
*A minimum of two prenatal visits. This is the time in which we will gather more important information; discuss your plans for birth; talk about fears and concerns; and practice breathing, relaxation techniques, and other comfort measures.
*Support by phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
*If so desired, we can also accompany you to one of your prenatal visits with your care provider to meet and discuss your plans for birth.
Labor & Delivery Care
*Continuous support at the onset of labor (at home and/or at the hospital, once the presence of the doula is desired).
*During labor & delivery, the doula will offer support in accordance with your plans for birth. Some examples may include, but are not limited to, massage, changing positions, relaxation techniques, help with breathing, and continued advocacy for you and the communication between you & your caregivers.
*The doula is also available to the mother's partner during labor & delivery.
Postpartum Care
*After the delivery, the doula will remain to help establish breastfeeding and make sure that everyone is comfortable and settled.
*The doula will have two postpartum visits with you, your partner, & your new baby. One will be at the hospital, the day following the birth. One will be at your home, approximately one week after the birth.
*Your doula is still available to you via phone 24/7 for any questions or concerns after the birth of your baby.
Fees
Our fee is $500 and includes all of the services mentioned above.
*We at Mother to Mother believe that all women who want one should have a doula. If finances are the only thing standing in your way of having a doula, PLEASE contact us, and we will be happy to work with you!
